Global History and Facts
Global started out as just Global Sports. Fiaz & Ismail wanted to
introduce Street Fashion (& the whole lifestyle) to discriminating
customers who wanted only the best for their outdoor expeditions.
On a visit to New York they found that Fashion Stores were offering far more choice in the way of fashion labels styles & colourways where in the UK we were being sold the same old staple brands year in year out.
Why not bring the same choice of labels styles & products that customers in the US have been enjoying for many years that the UK has never seen after all we do share the same aspirations passions & goals in life. So the Global empire began with humble beginnings in Shepherds Bush which is a mecca for forward thinking fashion heads so finding customers wasn’t difficult.
Famous shoppers who flocked to this store included Rio Ferdinand, Chris
Brown, Omarion, Ashley Cole, Sean Wright Phillips, Mims, Shola Ama,
Linford Christie, Thierry Henry, Fabulous, as well as working with
MTV, BBC Clothes show & ITV.
A Growing Company
While many young shoppers think that Global’s clothing is geared to a
younger generation, this wasn’t always so. The majority of the shoppers
who flocked to the quickly multiplying company were still avid Sneaker
heads both men and women. Global continued to seek out ways to bring
new customers to their London store, which is one of the many reasons
this store has continued to be popular for over 10 years.
As word of Global continued to spread, the business started growing.
The store became known as the one stop fashion destination for London’s
hip & trendy residents if you weren’t wearing something or other from
Global then you weren’t in the know.
New Store in New York
In 2007 when Global opened a store on Grand St Manhattan in New York
City, the merchandise took up 2 floors of the store. For example, the
basement boasted an indoor High end designer range, the main floor sold
premium high end Street wear, including the latest & hardest to find
Global the Brand
After much demand & years of delay in 2010, Global is introducing a website for its own brand
