The mysterious group ‘The Weeknd’ (@TheWeekndXo) have released a video to one of their songs from the much raved about mixtape ‘House of Balloons’. The video doesnt give anymore insight as to who the Weeknd are and what they look like, and the video itself is one you have to think about what is going on, but non the less their music is undoutably amazing, and the talent they have shown to create obscure sounds and mix different genres is catchinfg everyones attention. We dont know if this video is an official release, but take nothing away from it because it is a high quality video, so kick back and watch the Weeknd story unfold. XO

After many false release dates and countless push backs on Big Sean’s album, ‘Finally Famous: The Album’ we have been told the release will be out on June 21st. Yesterday the full CDQ version of ‘I Do It’ was leaked and after a few listens, I have made my mind up that i cant wait any longer for this album. Back in 2008 our boy Mickey Factz performed at our Grand Opening of Global NYC, we along with our guys at Complex Mag, got our first glimpse of the man. From that moment we knew he had mad potential, and was awesome lyrically. Global were at the East Gallery Warehouse sale over the weekend. As you all know that these sales are mad hectic and are so much fun, but this one was most probably the best yet. Global also dropped their new range of  Mitchell & Ness snapback caps at the event which had alot of people watering at the mouth (I know I was). As you would expect from Global, masses of Xclusive sneakers were on show which is now becoming a formality at these shows.

We were accompanied by many fresh and new upcoming brands which shows that there is alot of talent out there on the fashion scene. The brands that were there were, Playdot, Benjart, PXL, Kaveman, SoapBox, Crooks&Castle, G-Shock East And of course Global it self. All in all the day was very memorable, the temperature was right, the music sounded good, everyone had their swagger on a thousand trillion and thats what its all about, see you all at the next one.

Having firmly booked his place as one of the most talented artists at the moment, with track after track coming out, Sneakbo kindly took time out to visits his most favorite shop, Global London. As usual he checks out the new Global the Brand clothing and picked up 3 bags full of Global  items for his new up and coming videos. Thats what you call #Swagg.

At the moment our boy Sneakbo can do no wrong, with a good team at ‘Jetski Wave’ he has good ambition to become the best, and with quick succession of video after video, he is becoming a big hit not only on the streets but on the net aswell, realising that their is a wider audience to get at, and he is doing it well.

After a long chat with him we have come to realise his ambition and as a well spoken person gentleman we have real respect for him. But as we said before keep a look out for the GlobalxJetski Colaboration.

Global were very kindly invited to the Odd Future concert at the Village Underground venue in Shoreditch, when we turned up we were greeted with a huge spray painted banner on the wall, with the Odd Future logo on it,  as well as an advert for group leader Tyler The Creator’s second album ‘Goblin’ which is due out on May 10.

The group had been whittled down to three members – Tyler The Creator, Hodgy Beats and Left Brain – for this rare London show and after their DJ, Syd ‘Tha Kid’ Bennett, had spent 45 minutes whipping the crowd into a frenzy with an array of beats, the trio took to the stage to a cacophony of noise.

Within two songs, all three members were stage-diving and crowd-surfing over the kind of mosh pit most metal bands would be proud of.

Tyler then risked life and limb by proceeding to dive into the crowd off the top of the PA stack and by the end of the gig, Odd Future, known for their explosive live performances, proclaimed it to be in their top three “craziest” shows ever. With chants of “Wolf Gang” reverberating around the venue, it was easy to see why Odd Future are very much THE future.

After the Concert Global checked out the rest of shoreditch, and it seems to be on a different planet all together, with such relaxed rules and so much emotion and opinion expressed in the street it really makes you feel comfortable with yourself.

All in all it was a good day out, and Global have learnt a lot more about expression, From OFWGKTA destroying the stage to some amazing street art. We have learnt that fashion is opinion, and opinion is an individual privilege.
