The Air Jordan XII (12) Retro in Black and Varsity Red has finally been retroed by Jordan Brand, this shoe has become synonomous with MJ’s “Flu Game” heroic performance against the Utah Jazz during the 1997 NBA Finals. Like many Jordan Brand Retro’s, this Air Jordan XII in Black and Varsity Red is not the exact same as the pair that Mike wore when he played the Jazz over a decade ago. Some of the more notable differences are the new graphics that the Jordan Brand team have placed on the shoe to honor Jordan’s performance during that game including a sick face on the shoe’s tongue as well as the year and number of points he scored near the heel of the shoe. While the original and retro Air Jordan 4 (IV) in the iconic black/red colorway are mostly long gone (albeit seeing a retro via Countdown Pack), Jordan Brand brings back the classic colorway in Force form as we see a continuation of the Air Jordan Force hybrid. Due to the Air Yeezy hype, Nike created another silhouette that resembles the Air Yeezy. Once people heard they favored the Yeezy’s the buzz was building for images of Nike’s RT1 to leak. The tongue and heel is exactly the same as the Air Yeezy’s, so if you’re unable to cop the Yeezy’s in March you can always score a pair of the all black RT1 Hi’s in April.
