The Fire Red Air Jordan IV also know as ‘Marsblackmon’ has been the Holy Grail of many collectors over the years. The fortunate few who had a pair were envied by the thousands of Jordan heads who were still searching. Released in 1989, finding a pair in deadstock or decent condition was hard enough. Many collectors were happy to score a pair that needed a reconstructive restoration job. Upon completion, the pair of Jordan IV Fire Reds would usually be for display only never to see the basketball court or be on someone’s foot ever again.

In May of 2005, a limited edition version of the Jordan 4 Fire Red was made available exclusively. Only members had the ability of purchasing a pair of the Laser Jordan 4 Fire Reds. At $200, many considered this to be a steal. So many that there are estimates that more than half of the Laser Jordan 4 Fire Reds were bought with the intent to resell. The Laser Jordan 4 Fire Reds hit eBay immediately after orders were confirmed. Some sellers were fetching over $500 for this package that they themselves had not yet received. The Jordan 4 Fire Reds caused complete havoc.

One of the finest aspects of the various VT models that made their way to retail late last year was the low-key colorways, which had a lifestyle lean that let the vacuum packed look be the star of the show. This new Nike Air Max 97 VT takes a similar approach, getting about as basic as can be with the blocking but still looking good thanks to the futuristic upper.

Global were at the sneaker festival ‘Crepe City’ as usual it was a massive event for any sneaker head and Global was at the heart of it, literally with our stand in the middle of the event, which was a vibrant scene and a pleasure to have been there. Global obviously pulled out the exclusives as its what we are known for, with sneaker heads queueing up to cop a pair of retro Jays or a piece of our vintage clothing. Check out the pictures of the day….

The limited-edition Nike Foamposite Galaxy sneakers are actually named the Nike Foamposite Ones, but the “Galaxy” moniker was added for the outer space theme. The rare design has caused pandemonium among Nike fans clamoring to get a pair of the sneakers – the price tag has zoomed to astronomical levels as a result.

A pre release version of the sneakers were first bought by a Ebay user for $750, which is much higher than the original $220 price tag. Only 13 minutes later, the first bid was in for a mere $755. The bids, which are still going at the time of this article, have reached $70,000 over the course of three days.

Here at Global we think this is probably the most wanted trainer of this era, we have already had people rioting in shopping centres and even seen people camping outside stores for 2 weeks before the release date.

Global will try to get a few pairs of this exclusive sneaker but with the demand so high it will take you out of the stratosphere to have a chance of getting hold of one.

As Global know for getting all the exclusives months before release date we have come up with the goods again, with the most highly anticipated drop of the year for the Spizike collection of the Jordan Brand. The supreme colour way with  a soft blue and a deep luminous orange which gives off a vibrant twist to the most popular trainer of the 21st century. This particular Spizike will come equipped in a combination of plush nubuck, smooth leather, and the iconic elephant print throughout the shoe. The translucent orange outsole add contrast to the blue upper. The release date is still unconfirmed, but Global have them in stock NOWWWWW!!!
